On 9 August 2026, Ms. Kanchana Thongna, Director of the Office for the International Horticultural Exposition, Udon Thani 2026, gave an interview on the program “Tan Lok Kaset” (Keeping Up with the Agricultural World) on KU Radio to publicize the progress and readiness of the International Horticultural Exposition, Udon Thani 2026.
The Director of the Office spoke about the progress and readiness of the International Horticultural Exposition, Udon Thani 2026, which is scheduled to take place from 1 November 2026 to 14 March 2027 at the Nong Dae Wetlands, Udon Thani Province, under the concept “Diversity of Life: Connecting People, Water and Plants for Sustainable Living.” The event will showcase Thailand’s potential in horticulture, innovation, and agricultural technology, while serving as a stage for international knowledge exchange and promoting tourism and the regional economy. Preparations are currently progressing steadily, drawing interest from many countries and organizations that will join in exhibiting horticultural innovations and technologies—reflecting confidence in Thailand as a host of an international-level event.
Beyond the display of plants and horticultural innovations, the event also aims to create a space for exchanging knowledge in agriculture, technology, and biodiversity, as well as to connect tourism, trade, and investment—so as to generate economic opportunities and sustainably raise incomes for communities and farmers.
The International Horticultural Exposition, Udon Thani 2026, marks the world’s first International Horticultural Exposition held on a wetland, representing an important opportunity to present Thailand’s horticultural potential to the international community and to help drive development toward an environmentally friendly society and economy.
