Thailand and Bhutan Advance Cooperation on the International Garden for Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026

On 26 June 2026, Ms. Kanchana Thongna, Director of the Office for the International Horticultural Exposition, chaired a meeting with representatives from Bhutan to prepare for their participation in the international garden displays at the International Horticultural Exposition, Udon Thani 2026, held at Meeting Room 321 of the Horticulture Research Institute and via an online meeting system (Zoom Meeting).

On this occasion, the meeting was honored by the participation of Mr. Wangchuk Tshering and the delegation from Bhutan, together with Dr. Parichat Photjanasin, Secretary of the Subcommittee on Foreign Affairs and International Gardens; Dr. Paitoon Bupphada, Head of International Cooperation; as well as members of the working group and relevant officials, who attended the meeting to consider approaches and areas of cooperation, exchange information and views, and prepare for effective international coordination.

This discussion marks another important step in promoting horticultural cooperation between Thailand and Bhutan, while also supporting the participation of various countries in the international garden displays—which will help strengthen the exchange of knowledge in horticulture, culture, and sustainable development on the stage of the International Horticultural Exposition, Udon Thani 2026.
