The Office of International Horticultural Expo, Department of Agriculture Invites the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to Participate in the Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026

September 15, 2025 – Ms. Kanjana Thongna, Director of the Office of International Horticultural Expo (IHEO), Department of Agriculture, assigned Ms. Wilaiwan Tawitsri, Director of the Academic Division, together with Ms. Piyanuch Naka, Advisor to the Department of Agriculture on Industrial Crops, Ms. Parichat Pojansilp, Senior Agricultural Scientist, Mr. Paitoon Bupphatha, Agricultural Scientist, and Ms. Prangtip Mas-odee, Entomologist, from the Office of International Horticultural Expo, to pay a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Francisco Tilman Cepeda, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to Thailand, at the Embassy of Timor-Leste in Bangkok.

The purpose of the meeting was to invite the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to participate in the Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026, by showcasing a national garden and exhibition. The Expo will be held from November 1, 2026 to March 14, 2027 at Nong Dae Public Park, Kudsa Subdistrict, Mueang District, Udon Thani Province.

On this occasion, the Ambassador of Timor-Leste expressed his keen interest in the Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026 and affirmed his support for promoting the event. He also expressed his intention to encourage private sector representatives from Timor-Leste to join in showcasing gardens and exhibitions at the Expo.

The participation of Timor-Leste marks another important step in enriching the diversity of this international showcase and reflects the strong cooperation between nations in the fields of agriculture and sustainable development.
